Hi Bob, I hope you are doing great! I'm not sure if you have my number saved, but this is Kyle (Kai), your neighbor. I am reaching out because Leah and I want to buy a used Chevy Bolt (not asking for yours), and we were wondering if we could pick your brain sometime about having one. We got approved for a $5000 voucher on a used EV. Would you be willing to share your experience with having it? Thank a lot!
Absolutely! I love it, Nancy is less enthusiastic, but we haven't really had any issues, no maintenance (except replacement tires), and now there's plenty of places to charge. Used is a good idea. We can chat in person at some point.
Thanks, Bob! My voucher will last only less than a month, so I need to get on it. Thanks for being open to sharing more! I'll see when it would work for Leah to chat. She's leaving on a week long trip tomorrow, so it's not great timing, but maybe she will just need to be called in when we meet in person. Is this afternoon ok? I'm available from 1–6.
Sorry for my late response. I just got out of … did you already make plans? I could drive over from the school now if you are free. Then Leah could join, too!
Yeah, come on over and we could talk.
Thanks! Okay, see you soon!
Hi Bob, wanted to report back that we signed a purchase agreement last night on this 2021 Chevy Bolt LTE! Thank you for sharing your experiences with yours, it really helped us feel good about our purchase. We got a great deal on the car! 24k miles, new battery as of 2024, so we get a 8 year warranty starting from replacement date, new software update (that was the fix for the reason it was part of their buy back program), 1 owner, heated seats, rear window wiper, level 1–3 charging capability, new tires, brake pads, one pedal driving mode, etc. The only flaw was a minor cosmetic injury from transport, since it was never in an accident. With the rebate, we signed the agreement at $10,300! We bargained for over an hour. Thanks again, Bob. We can show you the car when we get it, if you'd like!
Great deal!!! New battery, rear window wiper! New tires and brakes! You should have almost no maintenance costs! Great price. Yes, we'd love to see it when it gets here! Way to go!
Thanks for your excitement! They just have to do the cosmetic repair then I'll be able to go purchase it! I will keep you in the loop!
RIDGID 50 ft CONTRACTOR GRADE INDOOR/OUTDOOR EXTENSION CORD. MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY AND DURABILITY, kink free cord, lighted power indicator. RIDGID 50 ft. 10/3 Heavy Duty Indoor/ Outdoor SJTW Extension Cord with Lighted End, Orange/Grey 68050RGD (homedepot.com).
$145!!! 12 gauge rather than 10 gauge is cheaper and 25 ft rather than 50 is cheaper, too!
No, we need the thicker one and the longer one. I just didn't know it was so expensive. I could always go back to the default 25 ft cord and make it work with tree pullback and different parking position.
Hi Bob, I can be free to help with the tree tomorrow at some point. Will you be around?
I will, but we'd need some materials that I don't have, like rope. Maybe the plastic rope I got last year might do something. But we can talk tomorrow.
That would be great! Thanks!
Hey Bob, I'm over in Warrenton if you need me to pick something up to help. Then I'll get back and have some lunch and then I'll be available.
If you can find a length of solid rope, I'll pay you back. At least 50 feet. Thanks. Text when you're back here. Thanks! We can also maybe get that ivy that is up in the maples. It's the only part of it left after you did a great job removing the rest!
How thick of a rope would you like? And from where? I'm going to check Harbor Freight.
Reasonably thick. Go with your gut for holding a tree. Just got back. We are unloading groceries and stuff.
Ok. When you're ready, let me know.
Ok, heading over.
